How do you know that an email petition is official and safe!
Please be aware that those, well meaning, but annoying email list petitions that are circulating will never reach the intended end. That type of petitioner highlights an important issue or dilemma to get good folks to sign on (which automatically retains your email address for future use), but that email petition list will never go anywhere but into the hands of a spammer or advertiser list.
REMEMBER: An official online petition will always direct you to a website with an official form that will ask for your name, address, and/or zip code AND will confirm the targeted issue that you are addressing.
